
Shannon Crees is a Sydney based artist. Her works are primarily figurative, evolving from a background in fashion design, illustration and graphics. Preferring to work with existing elements of a found object to discover an image. Walls became an ideal backdrop. She now dedicates most of her time to large scale murals. Shannon was the only Australian artist included in the high profile line up of 'the best graffiti artists in the world' at Banksy's Cans Festival 2 in London. Was the winner of Leichardt councils' 'Wall to Wall' competition, with an 80 square metre mural. She has featured on Television shows 'getaway', 'The apprentice' as well as a profile on the ABC news art segment. Shannon has exhibited widely in Australia and internationally. Her artwork has been on display at Sydney's' Museum of Contemporary Art for Australian fashion week and been purchased for private collections in Europe, America, Japan, Pakistan New Zealand and Australia.
